A strategy notebook

Ludologium

Small rules. Many possibilities.

A computational atlas of games, mechanics, and strategy. Its simulator hub treats games as executable systems: rules establish a state, actions change it, and possibilities unfold from those constraints.

Fig. 06 / An illustrative project portrait

01 / The question

How much complexity can emerge from a small change in the rules?

A playable model exposes consequences that a static explanation can hide. The Strategy Space and simulator hub approach games through computational decision-making and changing states.

This working edition describes the project’s current structure and design questions. It does not claim measured user or business outcomes.

02 / A working study

Change one rule. Inspect the branches.

Illustrative / interactive

A deliberately small decision tree created for this case study, not a simulation of a named game or a strategic recommendation.

2 choices × 2 choices = 4 two-step paths.

03 / Design rationale

Precision.
And feeling.

The choices an interface makes visible.

01

Make the rule executable.

An interaction lets the reader test a consequence instead of taking a diagram on trust. The simulator hub supplies a route into playable models.

02

Show the boundary of the model.

A small tree is legible because it leaves things out. Its usefulness depends on being clear about which choices and depths it actually represents.

04 / Inspect the work
